If you have a broken leg you go to a doctor. If you struggle with mental health you go to a therapist or a psychiatrist. If your mental health issues include substance issues, then you might try Minnesota alternatives. This is a no judgement, No Label, alternative to the traditional 12 step, pass fail, stringent and more draconian style of treatment we are all familiar with. One should not feel ashamed if one has struggles in life. Everybody struggles sometimes with some things. I have been going to Minnesota alternatives for about 2 weeks primarily for cigarettes. Cigarettes are extremely hard to quit, I need skills, support, and some outside responsibility to get the job done. After 34 years of smoking, I feel grateful that Minnesota Alternatives is here, and available to meet my needs and to help me achieve my goal of becoming a non-smoker.

The most effective treatment program I have ever been to. The counselors and facilitators are all so caring and want nothing but the best for you and your life moving forward. I also see my psychiatrist Dr. Sawyer here, as well as my therapist Allie Lucas. I have been doing sessions with her, twice a week for the last 6+ months. I highly recommend MN Alternatives to anyone that is dealing with a substance use disorder and/or mental health issues. They really are the BEST!
